One Act Play
One Act Play is a theater competition held by the Minnesota State High School League. Productions are critiqued on the following criteria:
Characterization: believable and consistent; total ensemble contributes to the story; character development and interaction is cohesive.
Vocal Quality: projection, diction and articulation; vocal style is consistent, vocalization is appropriate to the story.
Technical Elements: Technical elements contribute to the overall effectiveness of the storytelling.
Overall Effectiveness: timing; pacing; stage picture (blocking); script interpretation; honest and truthful portrayal of script.
